The demand for electric vehicles is increasing rapidly in India and auto companies are constantly trying to strengthen their hold in this segment. Kia Carens is set to launch its first electric family vehicle Clavis EV in India by the end of this year. Kia has officially launched the Carens Clavis in the Indian market on 23 May 2025. After which the manufacturer is now preparing to launch its electric version. According to the information received from the manufacturer, it can be introduced soon.
What Will Be The Features
Kia’s Carens Clavis EV will also be designed like its ICE version. But some changes can be made in its front grille. Along with this, the MPV will offer great features like the ICE variant. Which includes panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, air purifier, ambient lights, three row seats, Level-2 ADAS, multiple airbags and connected car technology, 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 12.3-inch digital driver display.
How Much Range Will Be Available
It is believed that the Carens Clavis EV will be equipped with a battery pack of 55 to 60 kWh. With this battery, this MPV will be able to give a range of about 500 kilometers once fully charged. It will probably have the option of only one electric motor, but two battery options can be available. Talking about the motor, in the standard version it will give the power of 135 PS and in the top variant it can go up to 171 PS.
When will it be launched
According to the information received from the manufacturer, the electric version of the Kia Carens Clavis will be launched in H2 of 2025. In such a situation, it is expected that it can be introduced between July to September 2025 and its delivery can be started later.
Kia Carens Clavis EV Price
Talking about its price, it can be around ₹ 18 lakh to ₹ 25 lakh (ex-showroom). After launch, it will not have any direct competitor, but its top variant will compete with electric MPVs like BYD eMax 7.
