- Combination of GenAI in Xcode: Apple has integrated Generative AI (GenAI) into its development tool Xcode. Now developers will be able to write, test and debug code with the help of AI. Also, with the support of AI models like ChatGPT, the coding process will be faster and smarter.
- Image Playground: With the help of ChatGPT, users will now be able to generate images instantly.
- Foundation Models: This framework will help developers to create privacy-friendly and offline working AI apps. That is, now AI features will work even without the internet!

Liquid Glass Interface And New Design
According to Apple, in iOS 26, Apple has introduced a new translucent design system called “Liquid Glass”. This makes the home screen, lock screen, app icons and widgets look more clean, fluid and personal. 3D spatial wallpapers are now supported on the lock screen.
Call Screening And Hold Assist
The iPhone’s Phone app has become smarter now. Before picking up the call, AI will now screen the call and tell why the call is being made. At the same time, the Hold Assist feature will automatically alert you in case of a call being put on hold when a live agent comes on the line.
Apple Intelligence
Apple has launched its in-house AI technology ‘Apple Intelligence’ in iOS 26. It includes features like on-device translation, image generation, smart shortcuts, email summary and context-based suggestions, that too without sharing data.
Markdown support in Notes app
The Notes app is now ready for more professional use. It has a Markdown export feature which will be very useful for tech writers and bloggers.
More Privacy and Clean Interface In Safari
In the Safari browser, pages now expand to the full screen, making the content more visible. Also, fingerprint protection is now enabled by default on all websites, meaning browsing has become more private than before.
Smart Filters And New Tools In Messages app
Messages coming from unknown numbers will now go to a separate folder and will remain muted until you approve them. Apart from this, features like creating polls, customizing background and typing indicator in group chat have also been added to Messages.
CarPlay gets smart upgrade
CarPlay will now support compact view for calls, pinned chats and widgets. Also, Tapbacks for Messages will now work in CarPlay.
iOS 26 Release Date And Time
The public beta of iOS 26 will come in July and the final update will be available in Fall 2025 for iPhone 11 and above models. If you want to use Apple Intelligence features, you will need iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max or iPhone 16 series.
WatchOS 26 With A New Design
A major AI update has also been done in WatchOS. Workout Buddy feature will be available in it. Which will collect the user’s workout data and guide him like a gym trainer. This feature will get activated as soon as you start exercising and will record every minute detail. Workout Buddy feature will support only in English language.
