YouTube Monetization Policy Will Change From 15 July: Now It Is Difficult To Earn Money From YouTube

Under the new policy, YouTube channels that use external content with minor changes, use AI-generated voices but do not add human commentary or analysis, or post a continuous compilation list of similar videos will be excluded from the YouTube Partner Program (YPP). This means that channels that are posting only slideshows, general voice-over lists, or AI-generated scripts could be demonetized in one go.

YouTube has made it clear that low value content will not be monetized after July 15. Creators will be able to earn money only from content with original voice and human input. Videos created with the help of AI can also be demonetized after this update. Let’s know what changes are going to happen in YouTube monetization policy and after this what kind of videos will earn and what kind of videos will not.

Why Was This Step Taken?

YouTube is currently grappling with a flood of AI-generated videos and faceless channels that are created only to make quick money by tricking the algorithm. In such a situation, YouTube now wants to improve the audience experience and restore trust in its recommendation engine.

Big Change In YouTube Monetization From July 15

YouTube is flooded with such videos which are neither creative nor do they have any kind of human emotion. Many creators are making videos with less efforts using AI tools, while some creators were earning millions by uploading template videos. Such videos do not give any value to the audience nor is there any creativity in them. In view of which Youtube has just announced changes in YPP (YouTube Partner Program). Which will be implemented from July 15, 2025.

Only Such Videos Will Be Monetized After July 15

Ever since YouTube announced the policy change, there has been an atmosphere of fear among creators. After this change, only valuable videos made with human input, original voice and hard work will be monetized. Which give value to the audience in some way or the other.

  • The video should be created by the creator in his original voice. There should not be any robotic tone in it.
  • The audience should either learn something new from the video or get entertained.
  • The content (video) should be the creator’s own and not reused.
  • Those videos created with AI, which have human input, will also be monetized. The creator has worked hard in making the video and has edited it well. However, there should not be a robotic tone in the voice.

Such Videos Will Never Monetized

  • Template videos created in bulk will not be monetized.
  • Videos created with little effort using any AI software.
  • Videos created in slide format by compiling a lot of photos and videos.
  • Reaction videos that do not actually provide any value.
  • Videos created with new photos and video clips repeatedly based on the same script.
  • The same video uploaded on two channels will also not be monetized.
  • Spam videos – in which misleading information is being given or claims are being made.

Why Is YouTube Making This Big Change?

YouTube has a well-thought-out strategy behind this big step. There are three main reasons for this:

  • The growing threat of AI-generated content: Today, with the help of AI, hundreds of videos can be created in a few minutes. YouTube’s platform is getting filled with this AI-spam, making it difficult for the content of real creators to get recognition. The new policy is a way to deal with this threat.
  • Pressure from advertisers: Big companies do not want to show their ads on any kind of content. They want “brand-safe” and high-quality content. This new policy will give advertisers confidence that their money is being invested in the right place.
  • Future of YouTube: YouTube sees itself not just as a video-sharing site, but as a complete creator ecosystem. It wants creators to use all its features (Shorts, Live, Community) so that viewers spend more and more time on the platform.

Conclusion

YouTube’s new monetization policy is the beginning of a new era where ‘quality’ will win over ‘quantity’. This change may seem difficult, but it is a great opportunity for true and hardworking creators who love their work.
